Terms of Use
1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Adi mobile application and getadi.app (together, the "Service"). Adi is operated by an independent developer based in Mexico ("we," "us," "our"). By using Adi, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. Description of service
Adi is an AI-assisted daily planning app. You describe your tasks and thoughts in a "brain dump," and Adi's AI organizes them into a structured, timed plan, which you review and approve before it's saved.
3. License grant and restrictions
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use Adi on Apple devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use. This license does not extend to future updates beyond what's needed to use the then-current version of the app; updates are covered by these Terms unless accompanied by a separate license.
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except where the law expressly permits it
- Redistribute, sublicense, lease, lend, sell, or otherwise transfer Adi to a third party
- Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the app, except where the law allows it
- Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
- Bypass, disable, or interfere with security features or subscription verification
We may release updates to improve performance, add features, or address security, and some updates may be required to keep using the app. We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and availability depends on network connectivity, device compatibility, and third-party platform services. Maintenance and support for the Service, to the extent provided, is our responsibility alone — not Apple's.
4. Not medical advice
Adi is a productivity and organizational tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological, diagnostic, or therapeutic advice, and it is not a substitute for professional care. If you have questions about ADHD or any health condition, consult a qualified healthcare professional.
Adi does not monitor, review, or respond to anything you write for signs of crisis, self-harm, or emergency. If you are in crisis or need immediate help, contact emergency services or a crisis line in your area — do not rely on Adi.
5. AI-generated content
The plans Adi generates are created by an AI model and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not suited to your situation. You are responsible for reviewing and editing any plan before relying on it. Adi is a tool to assist your planning, not a substitute for your own judgment.
6. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use Adi. You sign in using Sign in with Apple; you're responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID and for all activity on your account.
7. Your content
You own the tasks, notes, and brain dump content you submit to Adi ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit it — including to our AI provider — solely to provide the Service to you.
You're solely responsible for Your Content. We don't actively monitor Your Content, and we don't accept liability for anything you submit. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law, including in response to a valid copyright infringement notice.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Adi to: violate any law; submit content that infringes another person's rights; attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service; or use the Service in any way that could harm Adi, its users, or third parties.
9. Subscriptions and billing
Adi offers a 14-day free trial, followed by a paid subscription at $7.99/month or $49.99/year. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your payment method will be charged through your Apple ID account within 24 hours prior to renewal. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
All purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled and controlled solely by Apple according to Apple's own refund policies — we cannot issue refunds directly.
10. Third-party services
Parts of Adi rely on third-party infrastructure. Your use of the Service may also be subject to these providers' own terms:
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, in-app purchases, and push notification delivery
- Supabase — database, authentication, and server functions
- OpenAI — AI processing used to generate your daily plan
- RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management
- Upstash — rate limiting
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- PostHog — product analytics (once integrated)
11. Intellectual property
Adi, its name, logo, and all associated branding, design, and software are our property, protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks or branding without our prior written consent.
12. Product claims and regulatory compliance
We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Service, including product liability claims, claims that the Service fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated output will be accurate.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Adi and its operator from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.
16. Termination
This license terminates automatically if you violate these Terms. You may end it at any time by deleting your account via Settings → Delete Account and ceasing use of the app. On termination, your right to use Adi ends immediately; provisions relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, and governing law survive. Upon account deletion, Your Content is permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
17. Dispute resolution and arbitration
You and we agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved through binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court. You and we each waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action or class arbitration.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
18. California users
If you are a California resident, you may reach the Complaint Assistance Unit of the California Department of Consumer Affairs by mail at 1625 North Market Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (916) 445-1254.
19. Export compliance
You may not use or export the Service in violation of U.S. export laws and regulations. You represent that you are not located in, or a resident of, any country subject to a U.S. government embargo, are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties, and will comply with all applicable third-party terms governing your use of the Service.
20. General terms
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent needed to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events outside its reasonable control.
21. Apple as third-party beneficiary
You acknowledge these Terms are between you and us only, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for the Service. If the Service fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Service or your use of it, including the product claims described in Section 12. Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
22. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you through the app or by updating the "last updated" date above. Continued use of Adi after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
